Description

Needs to be seen full size for skin tone detials. Thank you. Happy birthday Jenny! I actually managed to get an image of your Winteria girl done for your birthday. Thank you and Shadownet for this lovely lady. Since Arthur (Adorety) and I have started sharing some technical details and the response is positive I will continue here. I was actually inspired by Arthur's rendition of her, he got the deep icy blue look I wanted. Several other postings of her blue fae look have let some warmth creep in. I wanted her to be an ice warrior. So I used light set number 5 of the nikisatez Skin Collection which had a pale blue light in the whiteish and pale tan mix that played up her blue skin tones. And a bonus of giving a blue tinge to her winter white hair. I used SSS set at 1.0 quality but I left the specularity at 0 as Jenny had set it and I left her skin tones alone to. I have learned that SSS has an added bonus of giving a bit of bounce off the skin and into the hair, helping to light it up just a touch from below, and thereby increasing the overall texture quality. I also experimented with SSS for her iris but found it turned her eyes too pale and I loved the dark detailed look Jenny had chosen. So I turned off SSS for her eyes. Her lips are really glossy because I reduced Gamma Correction to 1.1. Low values of gamma correction produce more gloss and also increase fine hair details (for some reason). Ok, probably bored you to death. I just hope you enjoy the image. Previous

Beautifully done. Awesome composition and just great rendering. I like reading what you did and love this lighting. I have that same light set and have yet to try it. This cinches that. Great job on skin. It's a bit tedious going through all the body parts, but it's worth the effort. The hair detail came out great too. And finally, I really like the outfit, wherever that's from. Excellent work, of course ;)

OOOOOOOO MMMMMMMMM GGGGGGG Roxy, you just knocked me right out of my chair with this one! WOW! You have definitely raised the bar a couple dozen notches! This is a beautiful work with Winteria and a super dedication to Jenny! Definitely a MUST SEE in full size! Bored me to death? Hardly - I'm soaking it up like a sponge. Between you and Arthur, I ought to be able to figure out what the heck I'm doing.... ;-D Fantastic work, Roxy!

I could easily see a lot more with this character! What a beauty! I zoomed in to full view and found myself amazed at all of the details around the eyes: something like tattoo-work, merged with the work of exuberant spiders who decided that they wanted to weave silk into actual patterns...and WOW! Photorealistic skin too? Well, photorealistic skin in that not-exactly-human skintone. Needless to say I'm quite taken with this image and the dreamy, ethereal quality this has. The composition is fantastic and the details of the background environment add an extra textural dimension to this that works well. Stone-work always brings something to an environment, even if it's moldy. I've spent a few years among moldy stonework, and let me tell you, nothing evokes the world of myth and fairy-folk more than...grotty mold growing in what should have been a flower-pot until someone forgot that the flower in the pot needs to be watered! Ah, but now I'm rambling, but I simply adore this piece. Wonderful work. I hope to catch up with others soon.

Sah-weet--another surprise and astounding work. Surprise in that you take whites and light blues and give them depth which is hard to do --and results are amazing. But then you are the mistress so light and color! Jenny is very lucky indeed--I woudl so totally ask for a print of this--marvelous as per always hugs
