Description

Last fall, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Michael Glenn "Mike" Mullen and his wife Jane, laid a wreath, at the American cemetery, Normandy, France. Admiral Mullen has since retired after 43 years of service. That is my best friend Jim on the right. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

This is a most heart touching image my friend. As the years have gone by and I have grown as a person I now know why my dad cried so much when listening to the news or seeing a war movie. My dad was in WWII. Most sweet tribute. Tell your friend Jim I said thank you. I want to say thank you to each and all for your service.

A very fine capture of this moment, Dana! Some paid the highest price for liberty these years. I am born in 1953 but my parents talked a lot in my early childhood about the time when Denmark, my country was occypied under the nazis rules...A wonderful tribute...
