Description
Chipka suggested that the autumn shot I uploaded the other say could be a nice painting. SO, I had to try the idea out in this little watercolor sketch. :) Hope you like it.

You've captured all the mood and feel of the scene. Beautifully done! I love the subtle color range of the leaves, and am just as entranced by the fence as I was the first time. :)

Ooooh! I have quite a lot of catching up to do...and it's so odd, I should be sleeping now, but am I sleeping? NO! I'm working on a story, drinking tea, and occasionally popping in on Renderosity to see what's going on. I will sleep later...maybe in one more page or so of stuff concerning...um...well...let's just say that Duplex 8 grabbed my attention and won't let go. It let go a little bit, so now I can see this image. And I'm glad I'm seeing it! I looked back at the initial photograph and now I'm looking at this image and I love the way the two of them play together! You didn't reproduce the exact image, but you've captured the entire mood of it, and that is so much more fantastic. This has lots of breathing room in it, as a painting should, and it seems to me like a marvelous Impressionistic painting! I happen to like Impressionism (and its cousins) quite a lot, and this has that "bold strokes" thing going that I like so much. The colors are really amazing and so full of life. It seems to me that strokes and colors match: your bolder colors seem to have the "bigger" strokes, but the softer colors have softer, but complex strokes. I love the way that works. This is really marvelous. Feel free to do as many more paintings you want to; your work is always so rich. This is great!

Beautiful! I love the strong lines of the fence and the flowing movement of the leaves, grass, and branches. I love the way you have done the grass, which is a wonderful compliment to the draping motion of the leaves. Your use of color has created depth in the area between the two railings. There is further depth in the simple lines of the tree in the top left corner. Beautiful soft dappled colors in the background. I love the brushstrokes and color of the fence, the bright oranges and reds of the leaves, and the strong dark lines of the trunks. Beautiful painting with wonderful life and joyfulness.
