I'm probably the only one who DIDN'T know this, but on the outside chance that there are others who don't and who might find the information useful, I'm reposting a reworking of a prior piece.
The original HALL OF MIRRORS was rendered in DAZ Studio with a Max Ray Trace Depth of 2. I got wondering what would happen if I set that number higher, so I re-rendered at 8 iterations. Sure enough, the outcome (compare this post with the prior) has more reflections than the one done at 2 iterations. In hindsight, I guess that makes sense.
This setting is found under Render/Render Settings/Advanced Settings, then scroll down to Max Ray Trace Depth.
I hope others find this information useful. It was one of those light-bulb-over-the-head moments for me. :)
Thanks for stopping by my gallery. ~Robert

this is cool - I'm going to have to center a fractal in a mirror room and see what Octane does.

This scene with so many reflections is both cool and scary... Where will the danger come from? Vashek
