Hello,
    I am a photographer, I love taking pictures.
    I am currently in a relationship in which I am incouraged to be myself. The concept of my ideas and desires being supported came hard to me. This actually took me years to grasp, but he says I am his butterfly and just starting to spread my wings.
   Any and all comments are encouraged as well as suggestions too. Thank you for the comments you leave as well as suggestions. I will try to find interesting photo opportunities so that I can give you wonderful pictures to view.

Update: 06-20-09
       I have found another family on Renderosity. All the people here are just incredible. Things are starting to change in a really positive direction for me. I am currently starting to do portraits, and am thinking about making this my full time position. One day I hope to tell my boss to jump in the lake. I think having a career that I love and can be proud of is now my goal.
Clarification 09-20-09
 I do portraits for family members and friends. I don't charge them because I need someone to practice with.
  Well I think I found something that I can be proud of. Not in photography, but in sales. I am my own boss. I can never be fired or laid off. I sell stuff I use and love. So I know I can stand behind it. Just need to build my customer base. Once I do, I will just do this and only this.

Is it a American Goldfinch? We get these here, but only in the winter when they aren't wearing their best dress. Beautiful colors and detail. (Sorry about the repeat.)

I noticed his little black hat first! And needless to say, I have a lot of catching up to do! This is a great start to that and it's a marvelous photo, especially since it's a summer photo with all of those cool colors. Why is it that birds can get away with that color combo, when if humans tried to wear those same colors, we'd look...well...odd. Sometimes I envy birds and insects. They get to wear the most outrageous things (kinda like Grace Jones or Lady Gaga) only it always looks so appropriate! I love the DOF in this and the color just pops! And it's on a thistle of some sort! I love those. I don't like touching them as they're distinctly non-strokable, but they're so pretty! The colors play well with the bird colors too. This is really super nice!

A nice capture, Cheri. Nice to see the little fellow, and yourself posting again. I was out with my wife and daughter this afternoon and came across a wee robin sitting under tables in a shop restaurant They rest of the supermarket is only separated by a head high screen, so the wee bird has free reign over a nicely heated 'aviary'.. It seems that the staff and security had spent two hours trying to chase / lure it with the door and windows open, but the staff froze and the customers left, they shut the doors and windows... ;o( God bless you and your loved ones this winter.
