Description
Vermilion was best known for two things: coming out alive of even the most impossible situation and never missing a target. No wonder his statistics were nearly flawless. Nearly, because there was one tiny little thing, ruining his reputation forever. Miss Naru Amoh. Back then, Verm had nearly laughed and felt a little insulted. Killing a six year old girl was hardly a challenge for a master assassin as himself. Piece of cake, really...unless the girls father was an equal skilled bounty hunter. But he would rather carve his own tongue out instead of presenting this as an excuse to the other leaders of the Society. Instead he suffered in his frustration alone and in silence. Ten endless years long, living his daily routine and NEVER bringing the Naru Amoh issue into focus.
He smiled and sipped on his Soma while gazing in the dark night above Tokyo II. Verm had never even imagined, that such a simple thing like an email might bring him back the long forgotten feeling of joy. It was a rather short e-mail too, "TARGET FOUND" stood there in bold letters next to the image of an teenage girl. But his heart leaped in sheer pleasure. Finally, the missing girl was found and she would been dead within a week. And Vermilion intended to make this a personal matter.
