Sunset of an early autumn evening warm and golden crisp and clear. It’s the time of year when bees buzz to get the last bit of available pollen and birds fly south to warmer clime. Trees shed their leaves and enter winter’s dormancy Pheasants start wandering out of the woods checking out available winter feed. And even the two leggeds prepare, storing and stacking wood, cutting the grass one last time and hanging mittens and scarves out on the line. Autumn reminds me of times in my life when there has been a pause a getting ready for the next stage of growth and renewal. As the flowers burst out with one last bloom and the sky brings forth one more new moon I calmly and graciously prepare for winter’s long hibernation resting and gathering my strength for Spring’s burst of life once again.
