Description

Somewhen.... I'll manage Carrara and get better :o) Populus inspired me since years with his amazing Carrara-works, and although he moved on to Modo, he still is an outstanding artist. Window and wall in this image are his models and I got them as a gift (thanks so much, dear!). So this scene is lit with one spotlight in a very far distance and a HDRI image. The spotlight has a light cone, too, to simulate atmosphere. The Musketeer is from the wonderful Esha at RDNA. Yannis from the amazing Joanna at StudioArtVartanian (Yannis is so versatile!). Please enjoy and thanks for peeking in! Hoist the colours high! Sassy

classy, looks like a time 300 to 600 years ago - when they didn't have toilet paper - lol... god, I could not imagine that - lol and looking at your characters face, he really doesn't want to have to walk down to that tree and get another leaf - lol

Well done Saskia! The figure looks excellent, The pose and expression are very well done, as is interaction between him and the background (something that I see left as a bit of an afterthought too often in 3D images. you managed to ground him to the scene and the attention to not allowing him to have any part of his hand push through the window sill adds a much greater depth of reality to the image as a whole). The lighting is simple and effective. I think the volumetric effect worked quite well, and complimented the mood of the character. I've always liked your work Sassy, but I think this one stand out as one of your best.
