Description

I painted this for a man as he was going to give it to a doctor and he told me he talk to the doctor about me and the doctor wanted to meet me so I could paint some paintings for him. the man change his mind and never give it to the doctor or paid me and I never find out the doctor name also. guess it was all made up. Guess it was a bad joke. I still got the painting which I think is good. I painted it from a photo he showed me. It was not a very good photo and i do not have the photo now. this is my first dog too. thank you for commenting on my last up load I posted a photo of the daughter in 2d forums ..here is the link http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2839536 please look at it and you judge On the painting and if you commented on my last up load just sent me a IM. I can take it as i say to some one that if i get mad it means i puffed up and lost been a artist. Remember the Bible say that friends sharpen each other as iron sharpen iron. so take advice in a humble way. not to say all advice is good but at lest listen and learn and look at it from all sides. if you get mad look at yourself and see why you become then, to me it not good to be puff up. for where pride is then there a fall.

This is just awesome, Jock! Wow! I could never quite get the hang of oils - tried a few times just because I love the smell. My mom used to do oils when i was a kid, and I guess the smell reminds me of my childhood LOL! I've never met you, but I can see you are a great guy, with a wonderful outlook on art and life. It's a pleasure to know you, my friend!

great painting, jocko, maybe just add a hint of eyes it now looks the poor dog is blind. About the bloke that gave you the order to paint this, he's not in his right mind, next time let them pay half in advance, so if they change theire mind halfway through you both have losses.

what a bummer!!! however, things happen for a reason?! I would want to keep it! ;-D or perhaps a much better buyer will come along?? !!! I think it's wonderful (despite what is being depicted, and the poor lonely? ducky in the water... I was really relieved it was 'just paint' ;-D) you've done a tremendous job!!! congrats!!!

it's sad when people really like what you do as an artist, take advantage and screw you over. about 25 years ago I did about 12 ink outline pictures to illustrate a book for a lady my mom worked with - I had done a few projects for her and she loved them, but this last project she met with Erick Estrada to get permission and see if he could do something with her work... she gave him the art her writings and had them ceiled in a manilla envelope... he greeted her and never opened the envelope - he told her he is alway asked to do books... as she left him and he left her she watched him walk across the room and throw her envelope in the trash without even looking... she was so heartbroken, she never paid me and I hardly charged her but I had babies at home and needed the money.... This is very nice work, your dog here.... Heavensblonde sent me the picture you worked off of, she didn't say anything about the picture, your art or my comment... I think she just wanted me to judge it for myself... I looked at your eyes good, so when she sent me the photo, I could see more white in the right eye - JUST LIKE YOU HAD IT - THE RIGHT SHAPE AND EVERYTHING... her eyes didn't appear to be lazy and I think yours might just be a few pixels off, but damn, you had it.... You are good. your style is your own, it looks good, keep going... and keep working off of photos, it will make you see things and better your skill then from working from memory.

As i see it from the color tone that you applied, you really have a talent in painting. As an advice, in the future you should ask for a 50% security deposit for any art project given to you.
