I like the color in this, gives more to the old-timey feel. I have a cast iron dutch oven like the one in the background. I use it in my regular electric oven to make good cornbread since I don't have a skillet. When we have the woodstove up (which has 2 "burners") I sometimes put on a pot of beans to simmer. Years ago my ex-husband's grandmother cooked on a real wood cookstove. I would help her with a Sunday dinner now and then and learned a lot. Food tasted awesome from that stove! =)
