Description

This was Lake Tahoe, entrance to Emerald Bay on the California side in June. Lake Tahoe is known for the beauty of it's views, skiing, and gambling (Nevada side). People come here to ride on jet skis, take boats out on the Lake, swimming, scuba diving, hiking, horseback riding, snow skiing in winter, and many other recreational activities. There is more to Lake Tahoe than this, as there is a lot of history here, such as Mark Twain wrote "Roughing It" about Lake Tahoe, and lived there for a while. The ruggedness of Lake Tahoe is legendary. Miners, and loggers ripped Lake Tahoe apart at first, with the lumber used to frame up the mines to prevent them from collapsing. The trees here are subsequent growth after the logging and mining destroyed most of the old growth trees.
