Yes, I thought you should see these shots of the little squirrel too. Funny how the whole picture changes with another background. Isnt it? Dont study the birdfeeding house. It is ready to be thrown out.

Great amount of detail...I always am amazed to see squirrels scamper straight up telephone poles and across wires...but your photographs show the detail of their feet...adapted to climb almost anywhere.

I love squirrels, we have a distinct and mutually-beneficial relationship, though I can't say that I know how it started. I feed them: they like me, and if someone I don't like visits me, they leave squirrel-poop on that person's car. It's amazing and it nearly always happens! Needless to say, I feed squirrels when I can, though they don't stay still long enough for me to photograph them. I can also say that we have these kinds of squirrels (red squirrels) in Illinois, but not really in Chicago. I love the tufts of hair on their ears. We have black squirrels with the same ear tufts, but mostly we have "urban" squirrels. They're gray and they swagger like little, furry 4-legged cowboys. They're tough. They have attitude! Don't bother them because they might shoot you. And as for this nice set of pics, they're fabulous! I love this little one's hands and the look of concentration on its face. Marvelous!
