hard always to choose 'representative' samples, yet on the other hand you offer so much quality, the choices are a matter of jumping in anywhere. This is another of your famous 'rose' series, and I choose it because it's so typical of your flower work: Lush but classic, opulent but intimate (these are opposites for me, and they work organically together in your flower shots). And beautifully presented in a series. A fine twosome, showing upper & side view. And fine choice to silhouette them in darkness, as it sets-off the undulant rich hues, from light to dark; and sets-off the reddish stem (top) or bit of bouquet (bottom left corner). But the central beauty is in the tonal qualities, which you capture beautifully as always. You know, I don't know your camera, but you're the kind of photographer who I wish had the very top of the line...not that you'd necessarily want to deal with the decisions of a multi-thousand dollar top-end DSLR; but, with your eye, the world should present you with one of those (with lenses the size of trucks) so you'd have every power at your fingertips. But---that dream being said---the beauty of shots like these is that you did them with a camera the rest of us would relate to (I assume), proving that beautiful photography has little to do with high-end equipment, and everything to do with the eye. That's your real high-end equipment. This is beautiful, Harry. And I saw your son's fav for you (so nice to see him in your gallery) and I agree: So much to see & appreciate. Btw, my online favs are once again quirky, so I'll try them; but if they don't register correctly, I'll come back & fav them soon. But really, accept this upfront: Your whole gallery is a fav...so if I don't get fav's to work tonight, just know I love everything you do.
