Here you see the screw and rudder of the SS Great Britain. The public are able to come down here below the water line and walk right around the hull. There is still a lot of restoration going on down here and as you can see the propeller is a lot different than those you see today.

Fascinating. The construction of the prop is definitely interesting. Very different from the single piece cast they do now. Also, I was under the impression she was sail only, so this is a whole new light on the subject. The rudder's construction is interesting too.
