Hi, I am Barbara and live in Lincolnshire. I love nothing better than walking with my 3 dogs, (Large Munsterlanders) and taking the camera along. Iam afraid my photographic skills are not very good, I just point and click & hope for the best. Sometimes I do take some nice shots!!
I have lived with this breed since 1986, before that I had border collies. I was told when getting my first Munster, Jenna, I would become addicted and I sure was, owning 7 of this breed over the years.
Although Munsters are a working gundog, afraid I couldn't shoot anything, so we do other things like, showing, obedience and heelwork to music.
The girls are all different & I hope to show that in their pictures.
I would like to thank my good friend Janeeden for persuading me to get started.
Video's & songs for the girls can be seen on www.jendellas.com

Marvelous action shot of the energetic Jasmine. She shows the best of what a dog can be.

cool shot

It's pretty cute and you can really see the energy of the dog, that's well captured. It is a bit on the blurry side though, so if you want a sharper shot you should try a shorter shutter speed. Also it looks like you have used a zoom, which also can make the shot a bit blurry. Coming closer to your subject is usually a good idea. Robert Capa (a very famous photographer) once said "If your pictures aren't good enough, you're not close enough." I'm not saying this is a bad picture, but it could have been better. Maybe trying a different angle could be a good idea? Right now the picture is from a view that everyone sees, from around shoulder height. Taking a picture from further down could make the picture even more eyecatching. Don't let my critique get you down though - these are just my opinions, and you don't have to agree at all! They are suggestions, not in any way "facts". Good luck!

all good points from parasite3, but he forgot one thing .. if one has a point and shoot camera, one can forget about doing much more then pointing and shooting, grins! Also, yes, getting a shot from a lower point of view would've have made it better, but that requires kneeling, and then the bigger question is .. can one get back up???? So, in my humble opinion .. it's a great shot. Oh, and usually action shots have some blur! So unless our Princess Jasmine can suspend motion for a minute or so whilst you point, focus and shoot ... more grins ...
