Description

Another one of the fantastic Geislergruppe/Gruppo delle Odle. We started our hike from the restaurant Raschötz (at the end of the funicular which starts in St. Ulrich/Ortisei). First we climbed Ausserraschötz/Rasciesa di Fuori and then we walked in the direction of the Brogles Hut. But when we arrived at the Broglesscharte/Furcella Brogles we noticed that the hut (which you can see in the center of the image) was very crowded. Therefor we decided not to visit the hut. I took some pictures and after a little rest we hiked back to St. Ulrich/Ortisei. To me this is one of the most impressive views I've seen in Dolomites so far. A breathtaking photograph, those mountains are epic, the composition is spot-on, the old broken fence in the foreground is so important in this piece. First class.

That is beautiful, it reminds me of a photo I saw years ago in a magazine I was so inspired that I cut it out and had it hanging in my office and so many people would say did you take that photo, and I would say no but someday I hope to take one that is just as pretty in the same location. It was Switzerland I haven't got there yet but I still have the dream to get there.
