That is NOT me in the picture!
Thanks for visiting my gallery! If you were redirected here from Culture Crunch, you will find the "alternate versions" of Didi and Kelly here, as well as a few prototypes, if you look hard enough.
Once upon a time, I thought to myself, "Wouldn't it be cool to make pictures of people on the computer?" Of course, at the time, I was thinking more along the lines of Max Headroom, but when Poser came out, I knew I had to have it. Yes, folks, I am one of the lucky few who has been using Poser since version 1!
Most people would agree that Poser 4 was the turning point, where it went from being a reference tool to a way to make real pictures (I won't say "real art") in its own right. Then came along someone named Victoria... And the rest is history!
Recently I've been getting into DAZ Studio quite a bit. I'm also trying to wrap my mind around LuxRender.

To me she looks a bit wacky. Basically a small elf top-half with a large hipped human bottom half. I think she's much too human and needs something to unify her too halves. Perhaps some subtle scales on both halves?

My goodness, there are a few women like that out there, poor thing!

Minds me of the "drumstick" chickens they have created... Dinos would love it.

I like the ears and I think you may be right with the gray skin, like a pale gray, definitely closer to white than black. For the hair, if you go with gray skin, a soft blue could look good, go with a cold look or, if you want to make it warmer, perhaps a soft pink hair would work with gray skin. Also, in my opinion, if you want the bottom half to remain this large, the arms should beef up a bit. Or simply reduce the bottom by some amount to give it a bit more of a point of realism while still remaining out of the ordinary. Hope this helps :) Looking good, it's a cool concept.
T.Rex
"Hmmm... very rich diet? Doesn't bother me. A nice change from the skinny anorectics on most 3D sites! Too much bone, not enough meat or fat!" - T.Rex. Now, for some serious considerations - Skin color - a blotchy grey with blue or green blotches (guranteed to put a hungry T.Rex off!) Eyes - check somewhat slit-like pupils and dark yellow or mid-green eye color. Hair color - either blue or green, considering the blotches suggested for her skin. It fits in genetically. Teeth - white, like in all creatures (unless she's a vampire, in which red, or dirty gray or brown would do fine). Ears - maybe a bit rounded instead of pointy (unless that's a "point" for our UK friends!), and maybe furry? OK? :-)

If you make the eyes rounder, that could work (see the nurse alien from the start of JJ Abram's Star Trek) to subtly alienate the character, or how about additional boobs? May creatures have multiple sets of nipples, there's no reason why an alien might not have 4, 6 or 8 boobs. If applied, I'd imagine that making them successively smaller as they go down her body would work best for asthetics. Also, reverse knees (with or without cloven hooves) might be an interesting de-humanising trick, without affecting the face & arms (from where most personality & therefore empathy is transmitted).

I've no suggestions at this point, however go for what feels right
