Description
A few weeks ago I posted a photo of an immature snowy egret standing, on a piling, on Naples Beach, Florida. I had not seen an egret, fishing in salt water before. The yellow around the eyes indicates immature and the yellow feet point to snowy egret. They are about 24 inches (61cm) long with a wingspan of 41 inches (104cm). This is the promised collage of him fishing in the surf. S/he spent more time watching out for the waves than fishing. For some strange reason - the focus is better in zoom mode!

P.S. for those that asked. My new avatar was taken about 30 years ago and it was taken inside the head of the Statue of Liberty, in the middle of the New York City harbor.

Oh, fantastic shots. He's a beauty and you've captured some great neck positions. Great shots. Aren't they just beautiful and graceful? I have some similar shots somewhere my son took at our beach of an egret in the surf. It never occurred to me it was unusual.
