Description

"Home Sweet Home...to some" Original image captured with a Canon Xsi Rebel. While out on my walk the other day, I came upon this wasp nest. I didn't bother to knock to see if anyone was home though...

lol @ Richardphotos "stormtrooper mode" is a great description~ I am totally in fear of these guys and especially since you can come upon them unawares. Another thing we have here are "ground hornets" which are very much feared when we mow as they can come up out of the hidden nest in the ground in a cloud. Lovely Autumn colors and looks like you were also far enough away to be safe even if they were at home~ =)

A great find and superb capture. I also once found such a thing, could make several shots, with a wasp on it, he was harmless.

What an interesting composition. The lighting really sculpts the nest.
