Prins getting 'stripped' before going to the stable for lunch & some rest (and drying up. the horses never go to the meadow all sweaty)
they get a small portion of (organic) -food- pellets, lots of hay and there was a pumpkin on the menu that day... they LOVE pumpkins!!!
you can actually see the stable 'live' here...

(if you want? ??? ;-D)
and Prins and his (beloved!) sister Madam R.I.P.
mud on their butt ;-) after 2min58secs
slide underneath to skip the talking 'in between'
(Dutch people- is in dialect, no sub-titling- ;-D)
(was local/provincial tv series. about 'ringriding' with local celebrities i.e. 'stars')
(In Holland we do have 'thankday for the crops', but only very, veeeery religious communities have services for that. We had a greengroccer in the past that belonged to the 'black stockings church'. The girls in that store wore skirts that did NOT show their 'sexy' ankles or mooore.
Store was closed 'all the time'. Note on the door what service they had to attend 'this time'. Never knew there were so many 'holidays'...
I am thankful for the food on a daily base. :-D
(we also grow some food ourselves). Never take it for granted and that really adds some joy (here ;-D).
And have been nagging to Leo & Mieke about organizing a 'harvest celebration' for years. ;-D)
TYallSM for your time & wonderful comments (& fav.s!) on previous pics!!! :-D

Cool capture! Prinz and company deserves the pumpkin's dessert! They are hard workers. Here whe have a holyday called "Día de la cruz" ("Holy Cross day") the first of May. That day we put a cross in the garden, decorated with garlands of paper and surrounded with all kinds of fruits. Anyone passing through the garden can eat fruit, but must first pray and thank the Lord for it. This festival is actually a transformation of a pre-Columbian ritual, in which the Indians were asking their Gods to give them good harvests.
