Description

A sculpture in Arthur Square (Cornmarket), Belfast. Towering seven metres high and wide and weighing seven-and-a-half tons, the sculpture is made of four curved stainless steel parts and replaces the famous bandstand that stood on the site for decades. It was unveiled in 2009, the the work of New York artist Dan George. Enjoy your Saturday! Clive

I'd like to know why they demolished the 'Old' bandstand and threw this lump of scrap iron up? Me doing my anti modern thing again.. The POV is actually damned good and I would have done this shot myself more than likely! LOL Like! Rob

I think this public art piece would grow on me but my first glimpse of these things always leaves me cold. As for your photo...excellent composition...the building draws my eye.
