Mickey, this is one of those images that really struck a chord with me and left me sad. I'm so sorry that very few people take time to read the words in your dedication, and to look at this image and see the reason you posted it. This is a bit of a dark place to reflect, but I know all the pain you have gone through recently so it is fitting in a way. I'm struggling a bit myself tonight so please forgive me if my words can't be more uplifting in your time of need. DO know that some of us do care my friend, and you and your art are an important part of our lives. Congratulations on 1200 images, I only wish it could have come at a happier time for you.

Graveyards bring forth many emotions in me. A sadness, yes, a sense of finality on this physical realm, a memory of those I love but will never see again. But it is also a connection with the past, with humanity, with the hopes and dreams of those lying here that were probably very like the hopes and dreams I have felt. It is a connection with my past, a look back to the little girl who walked among the graves of her ancestors and felt something she could not really understand. It is a mixture of emotions, that are not predominately sorrowful, though brushed with a coating of melancholy. I think what I feel most in graveyards is the sense of connection with humanity, with the world as it is, the world as it once was, and the world as it will be. Beautiful image and presentation. I hope your reflections bring you peace, Michel. I hope you stay connected to those you love and feel the strength that comes from those connections. Congratulations on 1200 images and thank you for them. They have brought me many smiles and thoughtful moments too. I echo what Dave said. We do care, and you and your art are important to us.
