Probably you,ll not believe this, but it,s true.
When I was walking with my brain's browser set to "Bugs", I saw this ant carrying a seed.
I was surprised that on the seed, another ant was riding comfortably.
But while I took a photo I was more surprised when I saw an ant larger than the other two, stopped at the first, cut the seed into two pieces and gave one to the lazy ant.Now each had a piece to carry.
If this large ant ran for president, I'd vote for her.

My take on it is that the middle ant was working to hold the pieces together so they could be carried without dragging.

This is a fantastic capture of the workers and seems to me the one holding on is saying i will guard the food.

for many years I had to do very heavy lifting by my lonesome, so later when I was in a position to have other men to help,I would only pretend to lift on heavy objects.I use to move 850# freezers by myself.load them on my pickup and deliver the same with no dolly.so maybe the ant that is riding may have a better idea superb macro and what timing
