Description

...The knights are planning their next move towards the "impregnable castle", not exactly to take it, but just to get there without too many problems and troubles in the harsh terrain and the dangerous bridge... A "near rip-off" from a scene in TV-series "Game of Thrones". When I saw it, I immediately knew that I had to have a go at it in Vue (already clearly a matte painting/CG work for the background). Vue, Poser & Photoshop. Thanks for viewing, comments etc. always welcome and appreciated. Have a nice day - Lars ***Comment update*** Actually looking at this again, it looks like the knight nr. 4 is too big, but he *should* be scaled at the same size as the others, so...

very good work, excellent done I like the natural looking hill on the left side with some scattered weeds/grasses...Knight #4 as mentioned in your description looks fine. He is just looks like a large and strong figure man. It is good to see variation in heights of people in renders as in real life they do occur.

i really like the composition of the landscape. it leads our eyes to the castle very well. the poses of the horses and the people seem very natural. i think you've gotten better with handling animals and people in each scene you use them. the materials seem very consistent and good. the path seems to have a pattern to it that confuses me a bit (i can't tell whether it's supposed to be made of something tiling or not), and the texture of the stone is a little too regular in this one. i like the sky and the way the clouds seem to have real volume, but it might be a bit busy for the image. the vegetation is excellent (as usual), and i really like the light. overall, it's your usual excellent work, and i love the story the image tells. it reminds me a little of Pre-Raphaelite works.

Excellent posing, it's very natural looking, the way the men sit waiting on the horses. It's wonderful.

Another wonderful scene. I didn't think the height of Knight Nr 4 was a problem either - he's just a big guy. The background looks a little noisy to my eye but not in a bad way.
