Description
collecting more wheat... LOL
at a demo from 'working horse foundation Zeeland' on our island late august
http://www.trekpaarden.nl/tp/
(Nora & Prins were 'performing' too)
'shot' in 3D with Fujifilm W3
bit against the sun here, so 'einstein' here managed to get a dark pic
'this' happened to be the 'dress code' on our island -a while back-
the windmill happens to be there 'all the time' ;-D
horsies with their tails cut off
amputating tails used to be the habit 'here'
(as if they had spare parts!)
so the butts of these (what we call) 'Zeeland -our province- draft horses' or 'Belgians' look even more 'impressive'
TG it's forbidden now!!!
(but heard a story about (a bunch of) people going to Belgium or France? to have tails amputated
and on their way back all of these (young) horses were confiscated :'-( )
still know people who are very much in favour
Leo is totally against those practises
only cuts the hair a bit so it won't end up in a plow/plough or other machine

lovely and hard work

Tail docking is a disgusting thing and those who believe that it is the right thing to do should have a leg cut off to see and feel what it is like
jayfar
They need their tails to swish the flies away. Three super shots.

I disagree with docking. Great pic.

these are great shots, it sure looks like hard work, I am glad I am not there lol

Great shot! I noticed they carry wooden shoes. The hat of the sitting guy is nice! I disagree with tail docking, too.

What a beautiful scene and shot, Ine. Great atmosphere too on this. A fabulous show!

A wonderful POV of this old wagon and I like the windmill in the background.
