Description
A couple of weeks ago, a friend and I walked along the wildlife refuge near my house. It's full of wonderful sights, and I got lucky enough to catch this egret as he took off.

Oh, I have so much catching up to do! That's not unexpected, given the way the month of November went! Ah, but what a way to put November behind me...I happen to like egrets quite a lot. We have them in Illinois, but unfortunately, they don't like Chicago very much. We have hawks near Chicago, and it's always surprising to see one, especially with a mouse in its talons! Ah, to actually see an egret in flight! I love the curvy neck and straight bits...the way his (her?) legs point back is super. This is a really great shot! Well done!
