Description

Talk about a bad hair day. If a Yeti (Abominable Snowman) had a pet, this would be it. Captured 4/11/09, early in the morning, either in my neighborhood or the Himalayas. I just had a moment to snap the shot before this vicious creature leaped up, lunging at my throat, with the full intent of rendering me hors de combat, or worse. After a brief struggle and some quick footwork I was lucky to escape with my life. Photography is not for sissies. ZOOM worthy, if you dare. Totziens, thankx for dropping in, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

"Someone let the dog out!" - you must have scared him with your camera in hand ;) the trick is, to always carry some dry dogfood treats in your pocket and they love you forever ... just a thought, LOL BB

Funny looking doggie....your title fits perfectly. His front legs look so long in this shot.

blondeblurr: your suggestion that I carry doggie treats with me to lure the animals into submission hasn't always worked out for me. There are some dogs that are still very hostile after I toss them some goodies, and won't eat them until I'm far down the block and out of sight. Plus, I've been excoriated twice by owners who told me not to feed their pooches because of allergies and obesity problems with their pets.

I guess he really didn't want to have his picture taken! Excellent portrait, especially given the precarious circumstances!

Typical terrier-type...standing his/her ground, guarding his home from strangers. Not a very welcoming stance but one I've seen often too. Well seen and nicely captured...Harry.
