when I saw the title to your latest upload, my heart just broke for your loss.
I hope that the following will help you.
THE RAINBOW BRIDGE
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

This brought tears to my eyes.Lost quite a few pets during my lifetime. That will be some reunion. Just hope the cats and dogs are getting along.

Very beautiful words Mike, oh' I still miss my little Trixiebaby a lot and when I see another little Yorkibaby, tears are coming in my eyes - I could give everything I have, just for getting her back in my arms. Biggi is still missing her too, her eyes ask me every day: When will we get our Trixie back Mom?

Ooooooooooooooooh! This is VERY kind of you Mike! I lost my beloved African Grey parrot named Sara in April of 2009. She was SOOOOOOO intelligent that she could formulate her own sentences! She was like another person in our family. I will never get over her loss. I have heard of this rainbow bridge before and often picture Sara flying freely and happily in the tree tops with the other birds, awaiting my arrival. VERY kind gesture on your part for these unfortunate people who have lost one close to them.

I'm familiar with the poem. I read it years ago when my cat died. The bridge just puts this over the top. Perfect choice. A very warm and sensitive dedication.

i would guess by now that you know how much i love animals, especially dogs :), and i was so saddened to learn about carla's passing. she certainly was such beautiful gal. your dedi is so touching and i am certain that carla's mom appreciates your heartfelt sentiments. one of my favorite poems, by the way.
