Description
Another view of Delia's property, from one of the windows. A line of trees lines up a very minor country road winding through the fields as far as the highlands in the background.This image is dedicated to Manfredo, who died yesterday after a long disease. He was an avant-garde artist whose works are at the Guggenheim Museum in Venice.

A wonderful memorial to your friend. Beautiful as the celebration of life but mellow and peaceful as it is (should be) at the end. The is a lovely impressionist feel to the presentation as well. I've always been taken by such styles.

WOW! This has so much going for it. There's an aspect of this that makes me think of an aged photograph: maybe like a Polaroid photo, taken during the the 1970s, as such photos tend to take on a vague, magenta tinge as they age. I love that sort of a thing: the impression that nothing is unchanging, that even a photograph can do something. And then, there are aspects of this that remind me of a painting, right down to the presence of impressionistic globs of color. The POV is marvelous and the composition is deliciously open. This has such a wonderful amount of breathing room in it and it's like the sort of photograph one could easily walk into! As a dedication to a fellow artist, this is quite touching. I'll need to learn more about the artist, and I'll be doing that as soon as time permits. Ah...time...there's never enough of it!
