A bit ago,a neighbor of mine had this old Free Spirit MoPed in his backyard.I told him that I liked it,so he gave it to me.I don't know much about it or even if it works,but the price was right.Free!Thanks for looking.

First time I rode one of these I about killed myself, part of the reason was we rented them in Lake Tahoe and I had no clue what I was doing at first and almost got run over by traffic, after that we went and rode in a quieter area, nice image thanks for the memory :)

LOL.. I remember having to pedal like crazy to get up to the cruising speed you wanted. Then within minutes having to slow for some reason and start the process over. But it was better than just bike peddling!!! Great image!

Looks like it's in pretty good shape to me Jim. My guess is all it needs is dome tlc as those mopeds are built like tanks and seem to run forever if you take care of them.

I had a similar one many years ago, made by Daimler Puch, if I recall correctly. It was a lot of fun and very reliable.

I had a moped by badger.... from what I tell you, is my knowledge from last century, I don't know if the laws have changed, but look into it. 1. You have to have a Driver's license to operate 2. You do not have to plate it. 3. No insurrance LEAGALLY needed 4. You mix 2cycle gas additive to gas - IMPORTANT. 5. The have a govenor on them that only allows you to go 30mph 6. Too many People in cars have no respect for you, they will cut you off and run you off the road, run you over and they think you have no business on the street.... Have fun with this info - lol
