Description

At the nature reserve the reeds are cut and put into piles. They are burnt in a controlled way with a few piles at a time set alight.

Excellent capture; I guess there are way too many reeds for the few thatched roofs left in the country. I've never seen any kind of harvesting of the reeds in our area, they just let them mulch themselves for the next year's crop.

What an exciting pic! I rather enjoy setting light to things when it's allowed and safe. I do miss my bonfires but the incomers in my district make it fairly impossible.

An excellent smokey capture. It seems a lot of work.
