Cool pic! The ship in the forground reminds me of a dragonfly. Good composition and scale too. :)

I think there should be more contrast on you rshadow map--especially with your star location.
99% of your lighting should be th estar; countering that should be say 20% reflection from your planet. I like the idea a lot!
