Description

I know that this is a little bit, letÂ´s say unsual, for me, but i wanted to try something different. Using the indirect lightning.... If this was a photo, the indirect lighting would be spot-on! Every time you get out of your "comfort zone", you create something interesting. Great work.

This is a very good composition and pose. The facial expression could be a bit stronger, but i get a feeling of longing and looking at something, even if it's just the distant horizon (which many portraits do not). Most of the weaknesses in the image are problems with Poser and Poser content that are hard to fix. The eye whites are way too dark, which i'm guessing is due to the occlusion and shadowing from the cornea and and surface materials. Some of the textures on her clothing look too low resolution for this close-up, and the way the sleeve bends is very unnatural for cloth. The light is very good (most especially for someone new to IDL), and it's a very good portrait overall (good composition, framing of the figure, colors, etc.). The character is interesting, and the design of her clothing is perfect for this piece. And her skin texture looks great. The piece would be a bit stronger, though, if you replaced the textures on her clothes and hair (I love Kozaburo's hair, but the textures are from a time when you really needed painted highlights).
