Description
Once again, I've zoomed into just a section of a picture and thrown away the rest. I probably should have cropped a bit more off the left but I didn't. Isn't that a great tree? I got it here last week.
I wasn't going to add the Owl and chipmunks which make it look like a page out of a childs book, but I couldn't take them out once I saw them in it. Hope you like it.

This is beautiful and would make a lovely illustration for a children's book. I'm very fond of children's books and you can find some of the most beautiful illustrations in them. One of my favorite illustrators is Don Wood who did the illustration for "King Bidgood's in the Bathtub." (a great title) Having said all that, I personally would like this better without the cute critters. Mostly because I love the way the vine goes up the tree, and I find the branch and owl a little distracting. I love the detail, patterns, and lighting. Beautiful depth, colors, and textures. I like the surface of the ground, its patterns and textures, and the lighting and the way the foreground is shadowed and then there is a highlighted area, before the shadows under the trees. Wonderful raise of land and depth looking into the forest. Beautiful detail, color, and atmosphere. This is a gorgeous image!
