Description
Jasmine found her way back to the clearing with Meadow & Buck.
"Somethings wrong" said Jasmine as she looked & saw Zlata & Mr. Snowman were not there.
"Great" said Meadow, I would have stayed on the park if I had known it was one of your pranks.
"And I could have stayed nice & cosy at home" chimed in Buck shivering a little in the snow.
"No it is not one of my pranks, honest" replied Jasmine.
Jasmine noticed that the odd couple who were by the bench, were now in front of them & the boy was sat on a chair holding the Christmas stocking.
"Have you seen Zlata & Mr. Snowman" asked Jasmine.
"No, we haven't" said the very grumpy girl stood next to the young boy.
"Errr yes,we" but the grumpy girl cut hime off.
"If you mean the odd looking couple" (Jasmine did look at the grumpy girl & wondered how she could call Zlata & Mr Snowman odd) "They said something about Christmas" said the grumpy girl.
"I love Christmas" said the young boy.
"Bah humbug" groaned the girl, "Its nothing but expense, frivolity & family time"
"I have to admit, I am not looking forward to it this year. We have lost Carla 'B' & she was the life & soul of Christmas" Meadow said with a lump in her throat.
"Join the club" mumbled the grumpy girl.
Well I am going to look for Zlata & Mr. Snowman" said Jasmine. She saw that the cane Mr. Snowman had held was hanging over the back of the bench.
"Meadow, Buck you can either come with me or go back home, its upto you?" she said.
"Ok, in for a penny, in for a pound" they both replied.
Meanwhile Fat Robin was looking ahead, he could just see Zlata & Mr. Snowman walking off past the trees. He would keep an eye on Jasmine, Meadow & Buck.

What a wonderful scene and story you've crafted Barbara, it is such a delight to read. Can't wait to see where this adventure takes them. I know it's hard on them this Christmas without Carla "B" but maybe going on this quest together will help bring them closer and make them feel better ;)

Fantastic work Barbara. The story is better and better. This is more and more like what i would expect a children's book to look like. The pictures are marvelous and the story line is mysterious and uplifting at the same time.
