My name is Clive, resident in Cape Town, South Africa. I am an amateur photographer who has been enjoying the medium in a more serious manner since 2003.
I took a trip to the UK armed with a Minolta Maxxum 7000 that I had inherited from my Dad.
Out of the holiday snaps, I managed to get a few that I felt were quite good, but had no idea of how I managed to get them 'right'.
Since then I have done a couple of courses in the darkroom and joined a local photographic society where I was on the committee for a while.
Hopefully I am getting it 'right' more often these days.
I have a Minolta Maxxum 7 and being tied into the lens system, the Sony A100 DSLR was my introduction to the digital world. This has recently been upgraded to the Alpha SLT-A55 and I have to admit that I have shot more digital in the last five years than film!
My daughter Kristen (Kris10) and son Sean (fotoSean) have accounts here too, in the hope that they will learn too and share my passion! Sadly they have been rather quiet of late, much like their dad...
August 2015 marks the end of my 3 years as coordinator for the Photographic section of Renderosity. What a wonderful time of my life that I thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you all for the opportunity!
Keep the smile alive,
Clive

Looks like that cute pooch is the chief navigator. Nice clear, sharp photo from your bus. Just went and visited something called the Bone Shaker Rally Report... I've driven in two rallies years and years ago...came in second place on our first time out and got totally lost on our second experience. These things are a lot of fun but can be quite humbling:)

Mandy prefers to navitage from the back seat, mostly snoring with her eyes closed. It falls to me to pick up the slack.

Ha! Reminds me of a dog I used to have! Was never happy unless it was in the front, worse still, on the drivers lap! Not good! Excellent! Rob
