I think he startled her as she has dropped her parasol. She doesn't look scared, though she does look very serious. I like her expression as she looks up at him. Beautiful composition, colors, and light. I like the lighter patches on the ground. They add a lot to the beauty and magic of the scene. Excellent work!

The Big Bad Wolf is actually a coverup. He was a normal fellow who fell in with that Scarlet Girl (She calls herslef Red, but she's Scarlet, like in the letter.) Scarlet likes to tell how the wolf went after her granny to cover up the fact that she corrupted him into attacking thos innocent pig brothers in order to get the Ham and Bacon for herself. Just check in her smokehouse, you'll find the evidence hanging there. What happened to the wolf was just her tying up the loose ends. Mind you, She's nowhere near as bad as those two Hooligans of the Woodcutter's. What they did to that poor old lady... Very Neat Scene. Exceptionally Well Done.
