Description

A place to eat Tallahassee Zoo and Museum Table, plates and cups in the Slave’s cabin. I’m pretty sure this is a modern re-fabrication of the table once used in this cabin. According to the sign outside the cabin there was only one slave here and she did the chores of a house servant. Hope you all enjoy and please zoom. Thanks for the comments.

Perhaps the star head screw's might be a little clue ? Screw's apart this is really nice to see and matches in well with the pic of the actual cabin

Looks like the dinner plate are in the table, how peculiar. A very interesting picture, Kim. Thanks for sharing. It sets me thinking about how it must have been there in the past for the slaves.

especially with decking screws holding the table together.watching old westerns and seeing people use dirt to clean their cooking utensils makes one wonder how there is so much botulism/food poisoning now with modern dish washers. however at the buffets I go to once in a while the dishes are not always clean so it really is not far fetched.outstanding shot

A very fine shot, old or not a place for very humble meals and not as we - most of us have dinner today! :o)

The table may not be original, but the plates and cups look like they may be. Great capture. Just having enough to eat for the day, back then, for the slaves was a huge accomplishment. Great capture.
