Description
Recently I came across some info on a rather strange place in the South Pacific, Nan Madol. It's a vast forgotten complex of very strange ruins. Its builders are unknown, and it is one more mystery spot on our eerie planet. People who have explored the area run into bad mojo. In the 19th century an explorer had lost all the artifacts he'd found in a ship wreck. Then, months later, his records and field notes were destroyed in a fire. Later, one of his partners, who'd brought back statues from the site, mysteriously vanished. Even now, I am told,by an old associate, that locals tell tourists that the islands are unlucky. In fact, the "Call of Cthulu" had its setting in just such a location. Just had to create a fractal image of this spot. Enjoy!

Very cool vision of Nan Madol, super work. I read an old Novel a couple years ago, nothing of real note just a Fictional kind of 2012 end of the World/Indiana Jones Adventure thing. Anyway the area in Micronesia of Pohnpei and Temwen Island, Nan Madol, was a central focus of the adventure, the author did a pretty good job describing the place. Peace

Fantastic image! Corrie

Awesome fractal image of Nan Madol. The terrain and ghostly figure look makes it look like a eerie place. Not my kind of adventure with all the consequences that have previously been passed on. Fantastic work.
