Just my sort of thing! Abstract curves and empty spaces just waiting to be seen a piece at a time. :)

Works by Mexican artist Yvonne Domenge recently added new interest to Millennium's walkways and another reason to return to the park.
Interconnected: The Sculptures of Yvonne Domenge went on display spring of 2011. They will remain up through October 2012.
Three open lattice steel balls, yellow, white and blue spheres, sit along the South Boeing Gallery east of the Crown Fountains. The 13 foot yellow sculpture is "Tabachin Ribbon," "Wind Waves" is the 11 foot white sphere. "Coral" is a 10 foot blue ball. Walk around the sculptures to catch all their twisting shapes.

Well, now.... There's a colorful abstract! A delightful photo, Tara! You even managed to get a bit of red in the background to complete the primary color triad - very clever! This is simply delicious from an eye-candy point of view!

I love the color on this thing! Funny how I live here in Chicago, have been to Millennium Park numerous times and never noticed this sculpture before. And you've captured this part of it wonderfully1 I particularly like the lighting and subtle reflections.

I agree with Mark, it's a perfect frame, by this 'chunky' & 'glossy' piece of art - have just checked the whole sculpture, amazing of you to know where to 'prune' it ;) - very clever Tara, but I really like the blue one - now, if I could only view that a bit better as well? BB (PS have had a chat with Sig for an hour on the phone in both languages!)
