Chapter 5
Darkhawk went with Iphis and jago.
Darkhawk: I've just arrived from Korr, the capital with news...you should try to fly once, Iphis...!
Iphis: Sorry, I have no wings!...
Darkhawk: I could give you a lift!..To fly with the birds above the clouds on a sunny day with fields and woodlands deep below!..Wonderful! I have lived on Earth for five years now and I still love its colors, smells....
Iphis: Like in this town?...
Darkhawk: Ha!..Not ecxactly - but compared to Hell this is stil Paradise!...No human could live long there..heat, cold, storms, cruel enimies everywhere...
Iphis (smiles): Like here?..
Darkhawk: You got humor I like that! Even you soon will be the most hunted person in the whole Kingdom of Korr!...Do you know why?...
Iphis (serious): That's what I wish to find out...This Draco we going to meet, delivered me to my foster father and his wife when I was, mayby only hours old...
Darkhark: I have never met Draco, he was Nightshades mentor when he was nothing than a big boy with beginning bad manners...Pentwarhir, our wizard friend, caught him trying to steal his money pouch..then he was sent to Draco and became a ranger, now Nightshade is the Crown ranger in North after Draco himself...
Iphis: How old is Nightshade?..
Darkhawk: Mid-forties...don't mention his grey temples..fun stories about him and ladies in his youth...He is still cute...don't you think?..
Iphis: Cute?..Can a man be cute?...I think he looks...handsome..?
Darkhawk: He's my brother so I should know, right?!..Have your "teacher" Pentwahir told you about the problems with a ruler in Korr?...
Iphis: Yes, the old king died 3 years ago and the crown prince disappered five years ago...
Darkhawk: The old king had three sons, two of them died under a bit suspicious conditions...illness and an accident...so the old king was scared to death about loosing his last son and heir...he sent him away from the intrigues in the Capital out to Draco and his men in the far north to protect his last son, Ardanchecht...
Iphis: I remember his name...they searced for him very long but never found anything...
Darkhawk: Draco was getting old and he was severely afflicted with rheumatism. So the crown prince forced him to redraw and Draco lived here in Nedon ever since...Some years before this, you were delivered to this farmer Eamund Bliss and his wife...from your age of six, Nightshade, now a grown up young mand was sent with Dracos best people to protect you, unseen in the little village, Elwaine...But at a time where nor Draco or Nightshade is there, the crown prince, Ardanchecht disappered...Nightshade who became good friends with the prince...had prayed earnestly to remain with the prince, but he ordered Nightshade to stay and protect you! ..
Iphis: So the crown prince is...?
Darkhawk: ..Your father!..Clever girl! Yes, it seems to be...the problem is to prove it...a lot of hopefully "children" of Ardanchecht have thru the last years appeared in Korr - no one with sukces...but that's why you are important and why someone wants to kill you...a lot of people would loose power if...!
Iphis: I see...
Jago: Sorry, ladies we are here...and...something don't looks quite right here...?

Latest chapter - funny, two women meet and I just have to write their conversation down! ;o)
I still "compress the story with background and informations" so every little detail is important here.
I have the whole "universe" inside my head so it is a bit easier now compared to when I start writing the novel eight years(?) ago. I try to make the characters so alive as I can and I hope you feel them in flesh and bone as I do?.
Maybe someone wonder about a good demoness like Darkhawk - but I believe you can be born in Hell and still be a good person (try to look at many born on Earth to comparison!?).
