Description

Another brilliant contrast from Delia's place, the rough bark and the solar-like leaves of a linden tree along the narrow road leading to her gate. Just the right color to make the Italian taxpayers' heavy shearing a tiny bit less bleak. Only the last days of autumn are mild this year. Thank you for your kind comments.

I have so much catching up to do, but this is a good place to start! It's such a vivid, lively photo and I love the contrast of the leaves and the bark. It's such a fiery picture, in all of the best ways--it implies (at least visually) warmth and a moment of contentment, and I love the details of the bark and the way light falls here and there, leaving other bits in shadow, only to have brilliant, dramatic color make its appearance as well. This is brilliantly seen! I especially like the vine; it's quite sensual, reaching along its diagonal course. This is really well seen and full of marvelous details.
