A Dutch good friend introduced me to R'osity... and now, I really feel good in this community : I enjoy a lot your friendship and comments !BIOWith a few exceptions (indicated), I'm using a simple CANON Digital IXUS i... Sometimes, I do some postwork using ArcSoft PhotoStudio 5, but I just installed Adobe PhotoShop 7.0...
But now, after having seen all these beautiful shots, I just bought (Nov 2004) myself a new camera : NIKON 70 D !
I'm a chemist, leading a small R&D team in polymers (My greatest pleasure is to stimulate creativity...) I'm also studying to become a patent attorney...
I'm living in Belgium and enjoy travelling, hiking (going out every week-end is a vital must !), reading (my French preferred authors are Marc Ly, Jean-Christophe Grang Amie Nothomb,...), music (great fan of US female voices : Jennifer Warnes, Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLachlan, ...) and ... photography ! :~)
Bien cordialement aussi aux amis francophones !

When i bread show budgerigar's we used ring's but unlike these ring's which are split ring's our were solid...Split ring's are better and safer for the bird's and can easily be replaced if outgrown whereas sealed ring's can and often do cause severe damage to the leg's of the bird's. Terrific share and image

What a delicate job it must be, since those little legs are so fragile. Wonderful shot!

Thanks for sharing this, you've reminded me of a similar experience I had at a friend of my parents, must be close to 30 years ago. They had a mesh cage in the garden to trap small birds, ring & release. I tried to build something similar when we got home but, luckily, never caught anything!
