It all began with an Animator Pro class at the local college in 1994. Ever since then I have had many computer graphics classes, and earned a computer graphics degree in the year 2000. It has taken me to many places, and expanded a few horizons. Now my main interest is in digital photography with a Canon EOS Digital T1i, but I still do watercolors, drawing with ink, and colored pencils. The computer graphics started an awakening to artistic things in my life, and I shall be ever grateful. Computer graphics is still a great hobby for me now.

Superb POV and capture! :) I would imagine they would make the same sound as an elephant, but much louder! ;)

WOW! This rocks! Prehistoric bones are so fascinating, and the whole mastadon roar thing reminds me of research done with the bones of crested dinosaurs. Apparently, their extravagant head-gear served to amplify sounds. A bunch of researchers analyzed the bone crests and discovered that they are not only hollow, but also connected to the nasal cavity. Air forced into the crests and back out, seems to have created a distinct "flatulent pvc pipe" sort of sound. This has nothing to do with anything, but I thought it was a nice, useless tidbit to share. I think I made that association because of the mastadon-roar thing. I do suspect they might have sounded like contemporary elephants...somewhat. But then, knowing Nature and Nature's odd sense of humor, they probably squeaked. One never knows. Great shot and I love the POV.

Chipka, I've studied archaeology, and know what you are talking about the sound in those dinosaurs. There is a lot we do not know, but then we always have Jurassic Park to help us with that. ;c)

P. S. I assume they could "roar." I always assumed they would 'trumpet'!!! Or maybe we are both wrong and they in fact 'CHIRPED'!
