Description
Wanted to do something with a little color for a change, and I'm still learning Hexagon.
Here's what I did:
In Hexagon, I made a single line of about 100 faces with the grid tool. I added a tiny bit of thickness to them.
Then I used one of the line tools (interpolated curve, I think) to make some bouncy looking arc lines.
With the line of grid squares selected, I used the Bend tool to tell the squares to conform to the bendy shape of the bouncy arc line. That made the long straight line of squares from the grid thing I made curve into the shape that I made with the line/curve object I made.
Repeated that 4 times and there you go. Easy.
You can see that on the light and dark blue ribbons something got messed up and I didn't add as many segments with the bend tool, which is why those two look a little less curvy and a little more blocky in places. I was too lazy to go back and fix it, hoping that Poser's "smooth polygons" setting in the render settings would take care of it. But alas, no.
Anyway...that's my little project for the night.
