Description

No Room for Error Two factors standout at the top of the list when describing the work done by astronauts:- 1. It is an incredibly exciting occupation 2. It is an incredibly dangerous occupation. In his attempts to make space a safer place to work in Robert Carter has made every effort to ensure that NASA’s astronauts will have to venture outside the confines of their spacecraft into the hostile environment of space as little as possible. But even Carter has had to acknowledge that at some point the need for his people to venture out of their safety zone is a must to get the job done. As Atlantis slowly, ever so slowly moves the first of the two decent engines towards the hull of the waiting ML One spacecraft, two of the Atlantis crew venture outside in EVA (Extra Vehicular Activity) suits to help guide the first decent engine into place on the hull of the ML One which is being held in place by the Endeavour only a few feet away.

No matter how automated a system is, sometimes there is no solution except the human touch. And that can lead to a dangerous situation. Nice work.

Great composition and POV!! It really shows the hair-raising work so beautifully. I always worry about small pieces of debris whizzing past at thousands of miles and hour. Wonderful scene.
