Description
Yesterday there was a folk dance in the place of my work. I was working with students, so unfortunately I missed the whole dance. But I arrived in time to take some pictures of the characters and events.
This guy starred in the dance of "The Historians", a dance which chronicles the struggles between the Spanish and Arabic, and the conquest of America. The characters in this dance are dressed in clothes full of symbols and color.

A very colorful fellow! It is sad that more people do not know the history of Central America and El Salvador and what the Spanish did to the native peoples. Excellent capture.

Every country has their own history to tell, about their first suppressed inhabitants - whether they Indians, Eskimos or even our own Aboriginals ... and I am glad it's kept alive by folk-dancing, with wonderful and colourful costumes - so impressive! thanks for sharing that with us Neto, BB
