Hi! My name is Ed and I am just getting back in to photography. I have been taking pictures since the late 60's but kind of stopped for almost 30 years. I took mostly point and shoot pictures for years and decided to get back into a little more hands on photography.
I just got a Nikon D5100 with a 18-55mm lens and a 70-300mm Telephoto lens. I plan on getting some filter for both and doing a little experimentation with them.
I am interested in all types of photography, but lean towards landscape and trick photography. Â I also would like to try HDR in the future.Â
I would appreciate any feed back that I can get as this will help me fine tune my skills.
Unless stated, all photos are straight from the camera with no Photoshop manipulation.

gorgeous hibiscus and delicately adorned with water drops. Great shot. If I may suggest, try putting your subject off-center. It will lend a bit more intensity and creativity to a simple subject.

Nice macro detail Ed. Glad to see you've selected an avatar...reminds me of a church we saw among the red rocks in Sedona, AZ last April. Pedals or Petals? (your old English major friend) :-)
