Description

No post rendering...exclusively Vue d'Esprit 4. My goal was to increase the realism by using only materials that were combinations of 3 or 4 textures. All textures were from my personal archive. I also wanted to get creative with texturing, to overcome the limits of 3D...example the "puddle" in the path...is part of one of the main terrain's textures. All comments and critique welcome and greatly appreciated!

HEllz yeah! nice work oin this render. I was also experimenting with ways to get the MATS to do what you did with the puddle, and have a small bit of success. Did you do it with the fine tuning of the slope and orintation of the materials. At least thats the way I have been trying to do it. Would much like to see a tute on that part of your render.

Thanks for the comments,they're greatly appreciated. In 90% of my scenes I have found that I achieve the "puddle" effect by choosing to apply textures to the faces as opposed to using the automatic mixing method and adjusting the "scale" of the individual materials within the textured combinations.
