The body of a two-year-old child with a tiny drape about the hips, with the face of a 60-ish-year-old man. His right hand holds something down (repression?) while the left holds a heavy book which he isn't exactly reading. How fascinating! Was there a history of these statues? Any light shed upon the subject(s)? Any pictures of the other sides? Things that make you go "huh."
